Building on earlier experience within the programs of the Rockefeller Foundation, E+Co was established in 1994 as an independent company of entrepreneurs, investors, strategists and mediators focused on one mission: Bringing together technology, people and funding to create viable local enterprises that deliver affordable and clean energy to those in need. With a presence in Latin America, Africa and Asia, E+Co provides business development services and modest loans or equity investments. Our strategy is to demonstrate to public and private sector investors that the establishment of local clean energy enterprises represents a win-win, market-based solution to the twin problems of meeting the unmet demand for energy services and protecting the environment.
