El Barrio

El Barrio seeks to bridge the language, culture, and service gaps that separate Hispanics from other people, agencies, and services. In order to do so, we have developed a three-step empowerment process to enable our clients to attain self reliance: education and job skills, job placement and retention, and community integration/crisis intervention. Established in 1990, El Barrio offers services in five program areas: crisis intervention; adult education; job training, placement and retention; Los Conquistadores, a children’s educational and cultural enrichment after-school and summer program; and Centro Cultural Hispano, the Northeast Ohio Hispanic Cultural Center.
