The mission of Florida West Coast Public Broadcasting, a non-profit telecommunications entity, licensee of WEDU-TV, is to provide and produce superior quality education, information and entertainment services, creating a wide realm of experiences for our diverse audiences. WEDU serves the public good and aids in the creation of an informed citizenry. WEDU is the premiere public television station licensed to Tampa and St. Petersburg, and covers 16 counties in West Central Florida. This market is the 13th largest in the United States and comprises one-fourth of the population of Florida.
