Formed shortly after the 1967 riots, Focus: HOPE is committed to shaping our community as it should be – one that overcomes racism and poverty and offers hope and opportunity to everyone. Today, Focus: HOPE is a multi-faceted organization which offers food, education, training, and cultural arts programs that have made a difference in our community. In the process, we have helped thousands of our neighbors – black and white, yellow, brown and red. We have learned that education and training are the keys to ending racism and poverty. Our vision of a community that embraces diversity is shared by our many partners, from government and business to foundations and individuals. Together, we are working to build a community full of opportunity and hope.
