Friends of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Friends of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park supports the National Park Service by raising funds, public awareness and providing volunteers for needed projects to preserve and protect the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Since its founding in 1993, Friends of the Smokies has raised over $12 million through individual, corporate and foundation contributions, merchandise sales, special events, and sales of specialty license plates. Friends of the Smokies now has over 3,000 members and many thousands more who provide support through other donations. In addition to its fundraising activities, Friends of the Smokies coordinates more than 80 volunteers who provide assistance with projects that benefit Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
