Founded in 1985, Good Counsel works to help single pregnant women choose life for themselves and their babies. We operate homes for a mom to live within throughout her pregnancy and up to a year following the birth of her baby. Parenting, healthcare, nutrition, career guidance, counseling and chastity are taught by our caring staff and volunteers. Since our founding, more than 600 babies have been born to Good Counsel moms. In 2004, we received 2,100 calls for assistance on our national toll-free helpline; we offered 32,742 nights of shelter to the 311 mothers and children in our five Good Counsel homes; and more than 100,000 meals were eaten in our homes and thousands of gallons of milk were offered.
