Our commitment is to care for abandoned, abused and unwanted animals. We do whatever it takes to provide the necessary support, intervention and shelter for these vulnerable animals until loving homes can be found. Our adoption rate is 96% (more than double the national average.) We believe that all animals, regardless of age or ability, should live their lives with compassion, dignity and comfort. We believe education is the key to pet over-population not euthanasia. GWHMS is a “no-time limit” facility. We do not euthanize to make room for another! We are committed to educating the public regarding the well being of all animals and the need to sterilize pets to prevent unwanted litters.
