Founded in 1859, the mission of Guardian Angel Settlement Association (GASA) is to serve the poor by helping them improve the quality of their lives and achieve economic independence. Our mission is rooted in the Christian tradition and the heritage of the Daughters of Charity. Included in our efforts are services for families, youth, seniors, and developmental child care. We seek to address economic poverty and the multiple forms of poverty that result from it: loneliness, isolation, lack of access, and lack of opportunity. We are committed to the growth and development of the whole person: body, mind and spirit. We seek to assist people in realizing their own potential.
