Help Hospitalized Veterans

Help Hospitalized Veterans (HHV) receives arts and crafts kits, processes and ships them to VA medical centers, state veterans nursing homes, and some military hospitals throughout the country. In 1970, when wounded Marines were being visited, they were asked if anything could done for them. One marine replied “give me something to do with my hands.” After many surveys and discussions with numerous hospital staff members and patients alike, Help Hospitalized Veterans was born – and the first Arts and Crafts Kits were delivered. In 1999 HHV expanded its headquarters and began production of many of the most popular Kits, such as leather items, suncatchers and wood Kits. By producing Craft Kits in-house the organization saves thousands of dollars enabling more kits to be delivered to hospitalized veterans.
