Humane Society for Southwest Washington

The Humane Society for Southwest Washington, established in 1897, is committed to the relief of suffering among animals, the prevention of cruelty to animals, and the extension of humane education. The Society offers an array of humane programs, including pet adoptions, community education, pet behavior advice, spay/neuter assistance and low-cost pet adoptions for seniors. By working in collaboration with local veterinarians and animal rescue groups, the Humane Society and its partners in animal welfare look forward to a future in which there are no more homeless pets. In 2002, the Society cared for 11,156 animals.
