Humane Society of North Texas

Founded in the 1890’s and incorporated in 1905, the Humane Society of North Texas (HSNT) is an independent, autonomous society for the prevention of cruelty to animals. We are one of the largest animal shelters in Texas -housing 400 to 500 animals each day. Over the past two years alone we cared for over 50,000 animals. We act as an advocate on behalf of all animals and to ensure their legal, moral, and ethical consideration and protection. We provide for the well-being of animals who are abandoned, injured, mistreated, or otherwise in need. We work to promote an appreciation of animals, and to instill respect for all living things.
