Humane Society Silicon Valley

Established in 1929, Humane Society Silicon Valley (HSSV) is the largest animal shelter on the West Coast. Formerly known as the Humane Society of Santa Clara Valley, the Society is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for incoming animals. We care for 30,000 animals a year. We work to promote value and respect for animal life by connecting people and pets through education and technology. HSSV has a comprehensive program of adoptions, animal care, investigations and education, as well as a low-cost clinic for vaccinations. We maintain kennels for all animals, food, emergency treatment as required and humane, compassionate euthanasia when all other efforts fail.
