I.M. Sulzbacher Center for the Homeless

Opened in 1995, the I.M. Sulzbacher Center for the Homeless works to provide housing, health care and supportive services for homeless men, women and children in a setting that encourages personal responsibility and offers the opportunity for independence and self-sufficiency in a challenging and dignified manner. We work to educate and collaborate with the community and provide leadership as advocates against systemic barriers that cause homelessness. The Center is Northeast Florida’s only 24-hour emergency shelter facility that provides food, shelter, health care and a case management approach to recovery, self-sufficiency and independence. On any given night, I.M. Sulzbacher shelters over 300 men, women and children.
