International Child Care (ICC) is a Christian Health development organization. Operating in Haiti since 1967 and in the Dominican Republic since 1988, ICC is working to change the conditions that make people sick, hungry, impoverished and afraid. We prevent illness amongst children and their families; promote health for children and their families; and restore health for children and adults who have fallen ill. We believe that health is an integral component of social, economic and ecological development; that societal inequities must be addressed; and that working toward the achievement of sustainable systems through participation and empowerment is the essential core strategy.
