International Development Exchange (IDEX), a San Francisco-based non-profit, partners with community groups working for economic justice in Asia, Africa and Latin America. Our partners’ programs promote economic development and the alleviation of poverty; rights for women, workers and indigenous peoples; youth empowerment; and sustainable agriculture. We also actively educate U.S. citizens about the challenges facing these communities. Since 1985, IDEX has channeled over $2.8 million to fund more than 500 projects initiated at the local community level that create positive social change and economic independence for community members. Collectively, our partners’ efforts have benefited more than a million people in their communities.
