Ipas

Ipas has worked since 1973 to increase women’s ability to exercise their sexual and reproductive rights and to reduce deaths and injuries of women from unsafe abortion. Ipas’s global and country programs include training, research, advocacy, distribution of equipment and supplies for reproductive-health care, and information dissemination. Along with caring, committed health professionals and other colleagues worldwide, Ipas tackles unsafe abortions head-on in some of the world’s poorest countries. While many international donors and governments have focused attention and resources elsewhere, we struggle against the fundamental social injustice that results in the deaths of so many women in the primes of their lives.
