The Jacksonville Humane Society, established in 1885, is dedicated to the welfare of animals. Our mission is to find loving homes for all animals and to provide education and counseling to foster responsible pet-people relationships resulting in the humane treatment of all animals. Our services include: receiving of owned animals; adoptions; purina pets for people program; humane education; animal rescue and emergencies; animal welfare investigations; and pet therapy.
