Kentucky Educational Television Foundation

Kentucky Educational Television (KET) signed on the air in 1968 as Kentucky’s statewide public broadcasting network. The KET Foundation solicits and manages the corporate, institutional, and individual contributions that support local productions as well as the acquisition of PBS and other national programs for KET. Today, KET is the largest PBS member network in America. KET delivers both the PBS national schedule and its own wide range of local arts, cultural, documentary, and public affairs productions to viewers throughout Kentucky and in parts of seven surrounding states. According to recent Nielsen reports, approximately 640,000 Kentuckians, including some 125,000 children, watch KET general-audience programs each week.
