The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Mississippi’s mission is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. Founded in 1984, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Mississippi became the thirty-sixth chapter chartered by the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America. In 1989, the chapter office was moved from the Gulf Coast to Jackson in order to better serve the state. Last year, the chapter granted 92 wishes for children in Mississippi.
