Founded in 1984, Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Greater Bay Area grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses. The power of Make-A-Wish lies in the simplicity of our mission: we are focused on the children who need us. Each of these children and their families believe that a life can be measured in memories, not just years. Wishes can be large or small, simple or expensive – yet all are quite special. The goal of Make-A-Wish is to provide each child and his or her family with a wonderful experience – a bright oasis of happiness and normalcy during uncertain times.
