Meals on Wheels Greater San Diego helps seniors remain independent members of society, maintain their health and live their lives with dignity. Our mission is to help seniors remain independent in the security of their own homes. Meals on Wheels Greater San Diego has been dedicated to meeting the nutritional needs of seniors, throughout San Diego County, for over 40 years. Meals on Wheels plays a key role in helping seniors live longer, quality lives, through providing regular nutrition and daily contact with a volunteer. Clients receive two meals a day with a choice of four diet plans: regular, diabetic, low fat/low sodium, and mechanically soft (easy to chew).
