Michigan Audubon Society (MAS), Michigan’s oldest conservation organization, was established in 1904 and became a chapter of National Audubon Society in 1972. MAS has worked through the years to study and preserve wild birds, plants, animals and their habitats and to enlighten the public of their importance. Michigan Audubon Society advocates for the awareness, enjoyment, and stewardship of the environment and natural resources through education, research, conservation/preservation with emphasis on birds and their habitats.
