Minnesota Public Radio

Founded as a college station in 1967, Minnesota Public Radio (MPR) works enrich the mind and nourish the spirit, thereby enhancing the lives and expanding the perspectives of our audiences, and assisting them in strengthening their communities. MPR operates a regional network of 37 stations, covering Minnesota and parts of Wisconsin, the Dakotas, Michigan, Iowa and Idaho. MPR is also the country’s biggest station-based producer of national public radio programs. Approximately 9,900 hours of programming produced or acquired by MPR was distributed to other public radio stations throughout the United States during the year. American Public Media, MPR’s national production and distribution arm-produces more national programming than any other station-based public radio organization in the country.
