Morristown-Beard School

Morristown-Beard School, a private day school for grades six through twelve, exists today because founders of a boys’ school and a girls’ school shared a belief that there is much more to a child than what a standardized test can determine. Morristown School for Boys and Miss Beard’s School for Girls, both founded in 1891, merged in 1971 to become Morristown-Beard School. Their individual, bold decision to discover and nurture a child’s potential, while holding high expectations for academic achievement, defines Morristown-Beard today. Morristown-Beard has never lost sight of the one thing that sets it apart from other schools: a steadfast belief in the individual and a profound understanding of the role a school plays in coaxing excellence to the surface.
