Founded in 1973, Mujeres Latinas en Acción, a bilingual/bicultural agency, seeks to empower women, their families and youth to become self-reliant and able to take full advantage of available opportunities–and create new ones–to improve the quality of their lives. Mujeres provides comprehensive services to assist in exploring choices and making informed decisions. Programs geared towards Latina women include: domestic violence and sexual assault assistance, parental support, and child care services. Mujeres also undertakes policy analysis and advocates with and on behalf of Latina women.
