The mission of the National Foundation for Transplants (NFT) is to reach out to help those who seek a new life through transplantation, by providing a program of healthcare and financial support services and patient advocacy for transplant candidates, recipients and their families nationwide. Founded in 1983, our goal is to help patients overcome financial hurdles in receiving a life-saving transplant, and the follow up treatment and medications essential to their continued health. In 2004, NFT raised $2.3 million for patients’ current and future transplant needs; provided $2.1 million for transplant care, medications and other transplant-related patient costs; and raised public awareness of the need for organ and tissue donation through our grass roots fundraising campaigns.
