Open Door Mission, Omaha

Open Door Mission is a Gospel Rescue Mission providing basic needs and life-changing programs 24-hours a day, 365 days a year to more than 300 people every day. It offers emergency temporary housing, long-term rehabilitation and recovery, transitional housing, and outreach to the community. The face of homelessness has changed radically since 1954 when Open Door Mission sheltered mostly middle-aged alcoholic men. Women and children joined the ranks of the homeless in the 1980s. Today, men with children as well as intact families seek help at Open Door Mission.
