Founded in 1981, the Orangewood Children’s Foundation (OCF) works to eliminate child abuse and neglect in Orange County by promoting efforts and services that encourage strong, healthy families and supportive communities. On average, nearly 27,000 cases of child abuse are reported each year in Orange County. OCF is working on long-term solutions to these issues. Programs offering emergency assistance, job placement, transitional housing, peer counseling, and scholarships for college or vocational training give these children the chance to succeed, despite their painful pasts.
