Incorporated in 1989, Park Pride is dedicated to involving the community in enhancing the quality of life through the protection and improvement of parks and green space. Committed to the idea that Atlanta can and should have a world class parks system, we help preserve over 5,000 acres of parks throughout Atlanta and DeKalb. Park Pride works in public/private partnerships with the City of Atlanta and County’s parks departments, acting as a conduit for private support to city parks and a facilitator between citizens and the parks department. We have worked to ensure that improvements made to parks are supported both by neighborhoods and by government, providing a direct uncomplicated route for citizens to voice their concerns and desires for their local parks.
