Piedmont Environmental Council

The Piedmont Environmental Council (PEC) is a 30-year-old organization dedicated to promoting and protecting the Piedmont’s rural economy, natural resources, history and beauty. At PEC we help citizens and communities participate in the future of the Piedmont. Our programs include: preserving land and open space, promoting the best use of available land and good planning of land, addressing local issues of importance, and fostering children’s wonder and appreciation for the natural world through day camps. Our service area includes 3,538 square miles in Loudoun, Clarke, Fauquier, Rappahannock, Culpeper, Madison, Orange, Greene and Albemarle counties.
