In 1968 the Romanian Missionary Society (RMS) was founded; at the outset, the focus of ministry to Romania was radio broadcasting and relief. Today, RMS has extended its radio broadcasting ministry by establishing a radio network of seven radio stations that operate in seven major cities in Romania. From its inception, RMS has tailored its missionary strategy to effectively carry out the Great Commission. RMS’ mission is to prepare Romanian Christians to become effective pastors, teachers, evangelists, missionaries and Christian leaders; to publish Christian literature and training materials in the Romanian language; to proclaim the Gospel through Christian radio; to propagate churches in Romania; and to provide for orphans and abandoned children.
