Saint Louis University

Founded in 1818 as a Jesuit, Catholic university, Saint Louis University (SLU) is motivated by the inspiration and values of the Judaeo-Christian tradition and is guided by the spiritual and intellectual ideals of the Society of Jesus, which promotes activities that apply this intellectual and ethical heritage to work for the good of society as a whole. The University fosters the intellectual and character development of 11,500 students on campuses in St. Louis and Madrid, Spain.
