SPCA of Central Florida

Founded in 1937, the SPCA of Central Florida is the leading animal welfare agency in Central Florida with two shelters and two spay/neuter clinics. We are Central Florida’s oldest, largest, best known, well-respected animal welfare agency. We work to promote responsible human behavior toward animals. We serve Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Lake and Volusia Counties. 12,770 companion animals were received in fiscal year 2004 from community members who were unable or unwilling to continue their care. Staff veterinarians spayed/neutered 13,178 pets through our shelter and public vet clinics, preventing the births of millions of unwanted animals.
