The Ayn Rand Institute

Established in 1985, the Ayn Rand Institute (ARI) works to uphold the beliefs of author Ayn Rand, an ardent advocate of reason, rational self-interest, individual rights and free-market capitalism. ARI seeks to promote these principles, spearheading a “cultural renaissance” that will reverse the anti-reason, anti-individualism, anti-freedom, anti-capitalist trends in today’s culture. ARI’s strategy has four key elements: train the “New Intellectuals” of the future by providing intensive instruction on Ayn Rand’s philosophy, known as Objectivism; promote Objectivism in colleges and universities and stimulate interest in Ayn Rand’s novels among high school students; promote Ayn Rand’s ideas to the general public via mass media; and maintain a professional outreach program for business executives.
