The Seattle Foundation, the oldest and largest community foundation in Washington state, was established in 1946 to improve the quality of life in the greater Seattle area. The Foundation is made up of over 1,300 family and individual funds, and has total assets over $350 million. Last year the Foundation distributed $33 million in grants, responding to the changing needs of the community and reflecting the priorities of its donors.
