Tulsa Zoo Friends is the support organization for the Tulsa Zoo & Living Museum. Its mission is to foster and promote the improvement of the Zoo and Museum, working in harmony with the City of Tulsa and others in the Tulsa Zoo network. Formed in 1971, this organization has grown from a small volunteer band of Zoo enthusiasts to a current membership of more than 12,000 households. Tulsa Zoo Friends operates and manages the food and gift concessions, the zoo train, membership programs, fund-raising, publications, marketing and promotion, as well as admissions, special events and special exhibits.
