Since 1922, Sedgwick and surrounding counties have cared for their most pressing needs through United Way of the Plains. United Way of the Plains raises and distributes funds for local health and human services programs and provides direct services that address critical human needs. More than 200 experienced volunteers hold United Way of the Plains and its agencies accountable. They monitor operating cost, the number of people served, and the kind and quality of service.
