The Vanished Children’s Alliance (VCA) was formed in 1980 by VCA’s Executive Director, Georgia K. Hilgeman, along with other professionals and victims in order to address the growing need for victim parents to obtain credible, effective and compassionate assistance in the location and recovery of their missing or abducted child(ren). As one of the country’s oldest and most experienced missing children’s organizations, VCA provides nationwide and overseas assistance to families in all categories of missing children: non-family (stranger) abductions, family abductions, and runaways. VCA has assisted in the location, recovery, reunification, and reintegration of more than 32,000 cases of missing and abducted children since 1980.
