World Orphans Journey Trips exist to encourage, educate and empower individuals to be lifelong orphan advocates in response to God’s command in Isaiah 1:17 to defend the oppressed and to take up the cause of the fatherless. Journey Trips also provide post-trip discipleship opportunities for individuals, teams, or churches to get involved with the ministry of World Orphans.
World Orphans is a Christian ministry that is committed to rescuing orphaned children, supporting vulnerable families, strengthening the international church, and impacting communities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through church-based orphan prevention, rescue, care, and transition programs in developing countries.
When you take a Journey Trip with World Orphans, you take your first step to become a lifelong advocate for the orphan. Your experience begins with team discipleship that delves deep into the Scriptures that express God’s heart for the orphan, examines various issues surrounding the worldwide orphan crisis, and prepares you and your team for effective cross-cultural ministry. Each Journey Trip team serves in a developing country alongside local churches that are currently caring for orphans in their own community in partnership with World Orphans.
