The Youth for Christ (YFC) national movement began in 1944 under the prominent leadership of the Reverend Billy Graham. Youth for Christ, Fort Wayne Area opened its doors seven years later in 1951. Since that time, the Fort Wayne chapter has grown into the largest of 171 chapters throughout the United States. As part of the body of Christ, YFC’s vision is to see every young person, in every people group, in every nation, have the opportunity to make an informed decision to be a follower of Jesus Christ and become part of a local church. Fort Wayne YFC youth professionals currently serve the students and administrations in 18 high schools, 15 middle schools, three juvenile institutions, and four urban neighborhoods throughout Wabash, Huntington, Whitley, and Allen Counties.
