You would be helping recruit students, organizing the course, teaching the students, providing pastoral support to them and coordinating the involvement of other teachers.

We are looking for a nurse tutor to join our team. The clinic provides primary health care services including antenatal, maternity, pediatric and adult medical care. There is a small ward and a specialist HIV clinic. We provide a 2 year basic nursing training which is not recognized outside our clinic, but which provides us with the staff we need and gives the students a good grounding in nursing. Many go on to complete recognized training at a later date.

There would be opportunities for a short-term nurse tutor to develop relationships with our mostly Muslim staff and the young people in the village who speak good English and to be involved in discipleship activities within the church. The nursing course also includes a component of Bible study. Our vision is to ensure our students know what the gospel is and how it differs from Islam, so that they can make an informed decision about what they believe before they complete the course. We aim to disciple any Christian students on the course. We also use the contact we have with patients to identify those who have an interest in the gospel or who would like us to pray with them as they seek God’s help and healing for their medical problems.
