If you have an adventurous spirit, enjoy ministering to children, and you’re not afraid of some hard work, then a trip to Honduras may just be the team for you!
Travel: After completing your training at The Lord’s Boot Camp, you bus to the Orlando International Airport and board a plane for a flight to Miami. A connecting flight across the Gulf of Mexico, Cuba and the Caribbean Sea takes you to San Pedro Sula, Honduras. From the airport, you will bus two hours south to the Teen Missions in Honduras Bible, Missionary & Work (BMW) Training Center near Santa Cruz de Yojoa.
Ministry: Your team will travel east by bus and pick-up trucks to Teen Missions new BMW in La Mosquitia where you will be ministering for two weeks. There you will work alongside the MSSM Boat Circuit Riders, sharing the love and hope of Jesus Christ through dramas, puppets, music, and games as you play with the kids. After your time in La Mosquitia, you will return to Santa Cruz de Yojoa and continue paving the driveway up to the base. This is such a great need because in rainy season the vehicles get stuck in the mud on their way up to the BMW center and Boot Camp. Some days, your team will have evangelism opportunities in nearby bilingual schools.
Adventure: You will enjoy the beautiful scenery as you travel by boat to the villages along the Coco and Sico Rivers. When you are not out on the boat, your team will be working on one of many projects at the base on the Bible School property. At the end of this trip, you will enjoy shopping for hammocks, machetes, jewelry and many other souvenirs, as well as spending a fun day of sightseeing.
